The short version: Odak is a self-control tool, not an unbreakable lock, and you can always uninstall it. The free core works on its own. Odak Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription that only adds extra features; it renews until you cancel, and you cancel through your App Store or Google Play account rather than through us. Every price is the one your store shows you at the time of purchase.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and OME Marketing (“we”, “us”), the developer of Odak — Uygulama Kilidi & Engelle (“Odak”, “the app”). By downloading, installing or using Odak you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. How we handle your data is described separately in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Odak on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the usage rules of the app store you obtained it from. We retain all rights not expressly granted. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, rent, reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the app, or remove or alter any proprietary notices, except where such a restriction is prohibited by law.

2. What Odak is — and what it is not

Odak is a commitment device. You choose which of your own apps to lock, and opening one means passing a friction gate: a deterrent screen, a wait that grows within the same day, an optional paid skip, then a break of your own chosen length, after which the apps re-lock.

Odak is not an unbreakable lock, and we do not claim otherwise. It runs as an ordinary app on your operating system. Blocking can be bypassed — by force-stopping or uninstalling Odak, restarting the device, or withdrawing its system permissions. We deliberately never prevent you from doing any of these things.

Odak is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, including any addiction or compulsive-use disorder, and is not a substitute for professional care. If your use of technology is causing you serious distress, please speak to a qualified professional.

Odak is intended for adults using it on their own device by their own choice. It is not a parental-control or employee-monitoring product, and you must not use it to restrict another person’s device without their knowledge and consent.

3. Permissions

Odak needs certain system permissions to work — on iOS, Screen Time (Family Controls) authorization; on Android, Usage Access and the ability to display over other apps, among others. Each is explained in the app before it is requested and can be withdrawn at any time in your system settings. If you withdraw a permission Odak needs, enforcement or statistics stop working and the app says so rather than pretending otherwise.

4. Purchases

4.1 The skip-the-wait fee

If you choose to skip a wait instead of completing it, Odak offers a one-time in-app purchase. The fee is flat: it does not rise with repeated use and never becomes more expensive the more you use it. Odak never hardcodes a price — the app displays the price your store reports, in your store’s own currency and formatting, so what you are shown is what you are charged. Paying is always optional: completing the wait, and choosing to give up, are free and always at least as prominent as the paid option.

4.2 Odak Premium (auto-renewing subscription)

Odak Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription offering additional features on top of the free core. Premium never weakens the lock, never shortens a wait and never creates a free bypass.

  • Length and price: Premium is offered on the subscription periods shown in the app (for example monthly or yearly). The title, duration and price of each option — including any introductory or free-trial period — are shown on the purchase screen in the app and confirmed by your store before you are charged. Prices vary by country and may change; the store discloses any change before it takes effect.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Managing and cancelling: you can manage or cancel at any time in your store account settings — iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Free trial, if offered: any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where the store applies that rule. Cancelling before the trial ends avoids a charge.
  • Restoring: the app provides a “restore purchases” function so an existing entitlement can be recovered on the same store account.

4.3 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms, so we cannot issue refunds directly. Refund requests go to the store you bought from (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google: the Play refund request form). If you are a consumer, your statutory withdrawal and refund rights under the law of your country of residence — including, for consumers in Türkiye, rights under Turkish consumer-protection legislation — apply in addition to store policy and are not limited by these Terms. If you believe you were charged in error, write to us and we will help you take it up with the store.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Odak unlawfully, not to interfere with or attempt to circumvent its security or billing, and not to use it to restrict a device belonging to someone who has not consented. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms.

6. Availability and changes

We may update Odak, change or discontinue features, or stop offering the app. We will not silently remove a feature you have paid for within a paid period; where a Premium feature is withdrawn during a period you have paid for, you may cancel and seek a pro-rata remedy through your store. Because Odak has no backend, the app keeps working on your device independently of us — but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or compatibility with every device or future OS version.

7. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Odak is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Odak will prevent you from opening any particular app, that blocking cannot be bypassed, or that it will achieve any particular outcome for you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use Odak. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

8. Apple-specific terms

If you obtained Odak from the Apple App Store, the following applies and prevails over anything inconsistent in these Terms:

  • These Terms are between you and OME Marketing only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Odak or its content.
  • Your licence is a non-transferable licence to use Odak on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Odak. Support is provided by us at odakapp@ome-marketing.com.
  • If Odak fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Odak.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to Odak, including product-liability claims, claims that Odak fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer-protection or similar legislation.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling or discharging any third-party claim that Odak infringes intellectual-property rights.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms — for example if the app gains a feature they do not cover. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be brought to your attention in the app or before a renewal. Continuing to use Odak after a change means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country where the law gives you that right.
